Songhai’s crop and animal units operate as a productive ecosystem: crops feed people and animals, residues become compost, and livestock units in turn support soil fertility. This logic reduces losses, strengthens autonomy and gives value to every resource.
Gardens, fields and nurseries produce vegetables, fruits, cereals and crops useful for food, processing and direct sales. The model favors organic fertility, rotation, careful water use and local resource valorization.
Livestock units include poultry, small ruminants, fish farming and other productions adapted to the local context. Animals contribute to the circular dynamic: eggs, meat, manure, animal feed and technical learning.
Fish farming complements crop and animal production. Water and residues are considered within a chain of use that supports irrigation, fertilization and healthy food production.
