Recruitment of new student farmers: 61 future agricultural entrepreneurs admitted

Forty eight (48) for Porto-Novo and thirteen (13) for Savalou site making a total of sixty-one (61). These are official figures recorded by the Training Department at the end of the last recruitment of new students farmers organized on June 3 in Songhai / Porto-Novo. They were eighty-three (83) applicants present in the center to take the selection test that day. This selection test consists in a 15-min interview by a panel of three (03) members who are to identify in each candidate, the skills and the motivation to do agriculture through the candidates' answers to the questions clearly stated. The sixty-one (61) candidates at the end of this text, constitute the 47^th batch with twelve (12) girls. They made their official entry to the center on July 4, after the meeting held with their parents by the officials of the Training Department that day, in order to explain the conditions of the training of their children. We should recall that this training is totally free. As the 47^th batch was starting its training, the 44^th batch was completing its in 18 month-training. Before starting the "Application" for one year, the 46 students returned to their families on 3 July for one month rest.
