SONGHAI INSTALLATIONS

The ambition of Songhai is to consolidate the development process that links social characteristics with economic activities. To attain this goal, Songhai seeks to empower men and women by instilling in them an entrepreneurial spirit in the areas of agricultural production, food processing, craft making and training.

The training of students in Porto-Novo did not sufficiently take into account the realities of all the agro-ecological zones of Benin. In response to this need, Songhai is gradually extending its activities to other parts of the country, thus demonstrating its interest in creating local environmental awareness.

The current sites are located in the following areas:

Porto-Novo in the Oueme region, in the south-eastern part of Benin:

Savalou in the Zou region, in the center of Benin

Parakou in the Borgu region, in the north

Lokossa in the Mono region, in the south-west

Kinwédji also in the Mono

Kpomassè in the Atlantic region, 80km north of Cotonou

This geographical expansion of the Songhai movement is also progressively reaching other countries in the West African sub-region. This is the case regarding the site in Nigeria (Songhai Delta - Amukpe)..
