LOKOSSA BASE
Compared with other Songhai centers, the Lokossa base is not a
center for training and agricultural production. This center extends
covers an area of 0.3 ha and falls within Songhai's extension program
for training and support in the rural area. It was established in
1994 with the following goals:

Serve as a liaison point between Songhai sites
such as Porto-Novo, Tchi, Kinwedji, and the farmers and institutions
of rural development in the Mono region.

Monitor and aid the established farmers and villagers
through continuous training.

Serve as a base for the network of Songhai farmers.

Sell the products of Songhai farmers in the Mono
region.

Work with the groups and cooperatives in Tchi
and Kinwedji.
ACTIVITIES
- Sale of agro-biological products.
- Follow-up and accompaniment of Songhai farmers.
- Management of the Kinwedji farm.
- Follow-up and accompaniment of the Tchi Ahomadégbé
farm.
- Training of Songhai staff and capitalization of activities.
